Permaculture & Business

What is the intersection between permaculture & business? How are people making money right now by doing permaculture, and what other possibilities exist? What would an 'ecosystem' of mutually supportive permaculture business look like?

Entrepreneurs Ethan Roland and Tama Jackson of AppleSeed Permaculture LLC will lead a collaborative discussion on Permaculture & Business in the Rondout Valley, and brainstorm ways that all of us can create our living through earth- and community-regenerating work.

It might be more worthwhile to consider scheduling this annual planning meeting on a weekend (Fri-Sun), afternoon or early evening, instead of on a weekday mid-evening. Many of us have other work and family obligations that make a late weeknight meeting impractical. What does any other member think about this idea?

Hi Tim! I am 100% in support of folks who are part of this group getting together outside of the 1st Monday meetup - feel free to suggest a new meetup on the front page!

Interesting conversation about how permaculture concepts are beginning to impact our lives and businesses in a positive and practical way.

Hi, Permie Patty from Rochester, NY here. I considered visiting the beautiful Roundout Valley primarily to attend this meeting but it isn't working out. Would anyone be willing to take a few notes at the meeting and share them? Alternatively, I'd be willing to Skype in or anything that's easy for y'all. It's a long shot I know but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks!

Skype is a fantastic idea. Why not have virtual attendance as an option!!?

I'd like to attend, though it seems a couple of recent scheduled meetings I showed up for, as posted to the Transition Marbletown website, didn't happen. Will there be any notification by email if a cancellation is to occur?
