We're going to get a faster start on our Great Books reading and discussions in the New Year by moving from the last Thursday to the first Thursday of the month our initial St Paul Great Books Discussions.

Please order your copy of our text-to-discuss _Introduction to Great Books First Series_ so we're ready for both our Introductory gathering on Dec 27 as well as the following Thursday, Jan 3, for our discussion of Chapter 1 "Why War?" a letter from Sigmund Freud to Albert Einstein.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of you next week at Ol' Mexico, and beginning that process of "Shared Inquiry" that will benefit each of us in often happy and frequently unexpected ways.

    Happy reading all!

My _Introduction to Great Books First Series_ is on its way via UPS.

Here's the online link to the Great Books store where the text for the St Paul Great Books Discussion Group (GBDG) may be ordered. The price is $14.95 plus shipping. http://store.greatbooks.org/book-groups-colleges/introduction-to-great-books/adu-i1.html

By using the same text we can easily refer to page and paragraph to whatever parts of authors' texts we will be discussing. Brilliant!

As I did, you may even want to order together all three volumes of this Introduction to Great Books Series http://store.greatbooks.org/book-groups-colleges/introduction-to-great-books/adu-igb.html

We will use about half our first gathering of our St Paul Great Books Discussion Group for an overview of the _Introduction to Great Books First Series_ and the helpful discussion _Leader's Guide_.

As we move through our 2013 GBDG meetings, members are welcome to volunteer to serve as discussion leader for any of our meetings.

Here's a very good book recently published that helps in our understanding of "Willpower", self-control, which is essential in happily making our New Year's Resolutions happen as well as better enjoying every one of our days

At our Introductory Great Books Discussion Group on Dec 27 , I'm welcoming readers of this book for a convivial occasion to meet other readers to discuss this book, any of our individual resolutions successes of this past year, and perhaps announce our most significant resolution for 2013.

Please join me and a limited-to-15 others at the first gathering the new St Paul Great Books Discussion Group.

If more than 15 RSVP, I'll add a second time to gather on Friday at the same time of day.

I'm eager to hear about your past year's resolutions success and your inspired 2013 New Year's Resolutions.

Social hour at Ol' Mexico will continue after the book discussion time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
