“ I'm glad I made it! I had missed several recent Full Moon Meditations, but was determined to attend tonight, now that I have joined the EGL. I am sorry to hear of the lease situation at Irving Place. May I recommend contacting the trustees' office at Masonic Hall? It is the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of New York, F&AM, located at 71 West 23rd Street in Manhattan. I don't know what rent costs, but it won't be $6,000 a month! In addition to dozens of Masonic lodges and other Masonic bodies meeting there, it is home to other Orders (MOUP, BOTA, et al.). ”

“ I think you should seriously consider Br. Jay's recommendation. In the 1580's Brother Francis Bacon tried to institute both Orders in Great Britain in the same year. The R+C caught on in GB. Masonry [though practiced then] was not made official until 1717. So you could say, we almost had at one time a Grand Master et Imperator. As I recall from my younger days, there was a Rosicrucian Lodge [Thomas Paine] which was hosted by a Masonic Lodge in White Plains. So it's not that it hasn't been done in the past ! ”
