Ancient Mystical Traditions - Number and Esoteric Meanings (Limit 22)

2014 - Exploring Mystical Traditions from a Rosicrucian Perspective

Ancient Mystical Traditions - Number and Esoteric Meanings

This session will present the fundamental essence and universal archetypes of number.  The esoteric meaning of number should not be confused with new age numerology. The esoteric and archetypal meaning of numbers are found throughout almost all mystery traditions and cultures. Some of these esoteric principles are found in language and architecture. These universal principles of number have been explored by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Gnostics, and more specifically the School of Pythagoras.  Understanding mystical aspects of number allows the student to interpret symbols, writing/language, art, sacred geometry, Kabbalah, alchemical, hermetic and mystical texts, as well as, understanding the construct of the cosmos and life.

Finding and exploring the common threads of universal truths throughout all of these traditions is where we can benefit in our lives and spiritual work.

This year we will explore a number of ancient traditions from a Rosicrucian perspective. We will explore the modern day esoteric and practical application/relevancy, as well as, how we can help ourselves and each other using these metaphysical principles; otherwise, it is just knowledge without application.

Using this practical metaphysical  knowledge, and the Rosicrucian principles on ourselves, in our daily lives, as well as, being in service to others (with their understanding/approval), will allow us all to spiritually and personally evolve to an ever blossoming rose of Peace Profound.

This monthly meeting is open to all seekers of wisdom and those who are on their quest for the Master of Life.  This is part of a 2014 series on “Exploring Mystical Traditions from a Rosicrucian Perspective” which will focus on our experiences, sharing, discussing and experimenting aspects of the metaphysical principles that help us in daily life.  We have been entering the Age of Aquarius and it is time to walk the walk by living what we know inside.  Rosicrucians of all times have been working towards changing the worlds attitude/consciousness on humanitarianism, respect, peace, and consciousness.  Understanding the Laws of Nature and Cosmos will help us understand ourselves…In Light, Life, Love and Liberty..with the experience of Peace Profound.

We covered a lot of traditions and saw their contribution and relatedness to Esotericism as regards numbers. It was good to see how Rosicrucian philosophy can hold and utilize various systems of thought. The discussion and meditation created a good flow and synthesis. Well done.
