We hope you'll join our Regular meeting this Saturday, May 18th at 1pm. At today's meeting Rotaract member Chloe Bacon will give a presentation on Massive Open Online Courses.
As explained by wikipedia: "A massive open online course (MOOC) is an online course aiming at large-scale interactive participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problem sets, MOOCs provide interactive user forums that help build a community for the students, professors, and TAs. MOOCs are a recent development in distance education."
Come to learn about the interesting professional development opportunities offered by websites such as Coursera and EdX. In addition we will discuss upcoming service projects and social events.
If you never joined a meeting before, this is a great way to be introduced to the club. There will be plenty of opportunity to get to meet and talk with other club members and you will also get to know more about Rotaract and Rotary.
Afterwards we will head out for a snack at a close by Food Court or as otherwise decided.
Hope to see you there,
