Volunteering at 'Bank Your Future: An Interview Meetup'

'Bank Your Future' is an event hosted by the YMCA for Milwaukee students.  Volunteers will be doing one-on-one mock interviews, resume reviews, and providing guidance on how to put your best foot forward in the workplace.

Day-of Details:
At orientation you will receive a schedule for the day, guidance on interviewing and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to orientation start time.

Note: Parking is $1.25/hour in the Union parking garage with a maximum charge of $12. Street parking is free. Parking in the surface lots is $.85/hour.

Dress Code
The students are dressing as if they are attending real interviews. Please dress in business casual attire to make this experience as real as possible for the students!

Lunch is provided and is an opportunity for students to converse and ask questions to local professionals.

Student Information
You will be meeting with students who are in grades 10-12. More than 90% of the students reside in the City of Milwaukee and most attend Milwaukee Public Schools. Students are enrolled in the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee’s Sponsor-A-Scholar or Black Achievers programs, which seek to ensure that all youth have the opportunity to envision and pursue the best possible future.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
