I'm 28! I've lived in Milwaukee for a year and a half. I have been involved in Rotary since I was 15 -- spent my senior year of high school in Sweden as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student!
I'm involved through my job: serving individuals with disabilities & advocating for equal access to employment for ALL who want to work, and Rotaract has definitely connected me to some meaningful volunteer opportunities as well.
We have a great mixture of professional development/speaker meetings, volunteering at large/small events, and our socials are always a great time. Some of the bars/restaurants we've hosted our socials at have since become some of my Milwaukee favorites. Milwaukee has such a rich community of non-profits; I'd love to see us host more non-profit leaders and learn about the great work they're doing and how we as a club could get involved.
Hi! I'm Emily. I joined Rotaract last winter, and am really glad I did! Personal/professional growth, meaningful volunteer opportunities, and a new network of young professionals & Rotarians are just a few benefits of joining.
