Thanks to everyone who joined us this past Tuesday to learn from Paul & Anastacia's amazing trip to NYC & the United Nations just days after Hurricane Sandy swept the east coast! We hope you learned something new, and left more enthused about the great relationships that Rotary International has with other global organizations.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at next Tuesday's meeting for our monthly committee night! For our newest faces, our committees are: membership (engagement & recruitment), volunteering (local Saturday events), international (service trips & the like), and professional development & networking (speaker & social events).
As a reminder, our inducted members are required by the club bylaws to serve on a committee for the course of the year, and our prospective members and guests are welcome to float among committees to get a feel for each one. Committee work is very important to the impact our clubs makes for our members and our community, so please make sure this is on your calendar for next week!
Other reminders: We are hosting a fundraiser event for the spring service trip to Ecuador tomorrow, from 5:30-9:30pm at AJ Bombers on Water St. Saturday morning, join us for our monthly volunteering event with Feeding America. Please email Bridget at [address removed] if you have not yet RSVP'd for Saturday's event, and would like to join us!
Additionally, on the rare fifth Tuesday we have this month, we will be hosting a community dinner of lasagna, salad, veggies, and fun! The last supper we hosted was a great time, and a great deal - $8 for a complete meal! Please RSVP online no later than Saturday, January 26 so that we can be sure to have enough food for everyone.
Best wishes, and hope to see you soon!
