Food will be served!

Hey Geeks!

Recently I came across a great document to help people to get started with Arduino and I thought we might spend a session going through some of the lessons. If you are new to Arduino or would like to refresh yourself with the basics take a look at the following document and bring as many items in the parts list to our next meetup. We will start with lesson 1 and go until we get tired or kicked out.

If you want to buy the kit for $85 + $8 shipping USPS

Also, We will start off the session (after the sponsor remarks) with a show and tell session. If you have a project in the works or one that is complete please bring it in to show it off.

btw,

Texas Linux Fest starts this Friday, May 31, with some great sessions and continues to Saturday. It was a great event last year in San Antonio and now it's back home here in Austin!

Hope to see you all there!

Hey. The 1st Thursday next month is independence day. Have we thought about moving it to another day or week for that?

Shelley, Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Yes we need to move this meeting. I'm going to move it out one week.

I had a great time. I like how much support there is for people trying new projects.

Please help me if you can. I really don't want to be the guy standing up all meeting talking so if I can get some volunteers to present that would be great! You don't need to be an expert since I'm not even close. Just pick one of the circuits to cover and let me know when you arrive which one you would like to do.

Just wanted to let everyone know I purchased the kit from adafruit on Tuesday and it arrived today (Thursday)!

    Tim:
I guess I can accept volunteer work at PBS as an excuse. Hope you can join us next month.

This looks like so much fun! My wife and I volunteered to answer phones for PBS that night, though. Have fun my fellow geeks!
