We will have something more informative soon but at this point the following should sum it up.
- We believe ourselves to be operating system agnostic
- We are not technology evangelist
- The plan is to have meeting topics voted on by members
This group is being formed so the technologist in Round Rock will not have to drive into Austin for group meetings. We have a ton of folks up here that have a great deal of knowledge to share and we want to be that forum.
If your interest is strictly focused in one programming language then this may not be the group for you. If you are a diehard Apple iOS fan and can’t stand hearing about Android, then this is not the group for you.
On the other hand, if you believe that all technology has good and bad points then come join us. We will be discussing mobile technologies with regards to Apple iOS and Android OS and how they can help us with our development efforts.
If you’re into Arduino programming and would like to present information on micro-controllers then we are the place. The coolest things to see are how we can interconnect technology. If you can control your lights in your house from your phone then let us know how you did it.
1st Thursday of the month @ Rudy's in Round Rock

Nothing formal. If food is being served from a sponsor then it will be put out during this section.
7:00 – 7:30pm: Show and Tell / Video segment
All attendees are welcomed to submit viral videos for showing. This segment allows for any quick non-formal technology show and tell.
7:30 – 8:30pm: Main topic presentation
This is a member led presentation. Everyone is encouraged to present a topic of interest. The submitted topics ideas will be posted for group voting.
8:30 – 9:00pm: Focused small group discussion At this point the group will break off to smaller more focused group discussions. Some groups may dig deeper into programming languages and others into hardware technology. This part is ad-hoc and is mainly driven on group members desires.
