Daytime Hill Time: Easy Does It

After a week of vacation followed by too many hours at my PC preparing for final exams, I'm ready to stretch (test?) my legs. This route starts from Tazza Coffee Shop and ventures up to Skyline, with the specific route yet to be determined (will try to post one before the ride). Expect it to be about 20-ish miles and less than 2,000 feet elev. gain, an "easy does it" kind of ride for me. The "easy" in that former statement does not mean "cake walk" - expect pace to be 17-19 mph on flats (not many of those), plenty of hills, riding with vehicles on roads with no shoulder. We are in NW Hills territory, after all. Be prepared to climb, face some rollers, and get that cardio system a'workin'!

If your schedule allows, come early for a 12:30 PM cup of coffee or just to get better acquainted before we embark on our hilly adventure. (I think it's good cycling citizenship to patronize the businesses who give us access to parking and restrooms - and Tazza Coffee has been very friendly and accommodating). Just to be clear:

12:30 PM Optional Coffee & get acquainted

1:00 PM Wheels rolling!

Type of Ride: Climbing is not my strength - but it's gonna be, if I have anything to say about it. I don't mind leading from behind, so come on out and leave me in the dust or join me for slow UPs and fast DOWNs of Skyline. This ride is about giving it your best. Given the crispy temps, everyone can ride at their own pace, but we will re-group at major turns and hilltops.

Carolyn - thanks for putting this ride together. It was short and sweet. Just what the doctor ordered. :)

I was hoping to get some quality biking in since this is my day off, but it sounds like it is more than I can do .

Hey Jen, the 20 miles with 2200 feet total gain sound good. I will commit when you post the route.
