Ok. Another MTB posting in a predominantly roadie group.
I will be 'trying' (keyword: Trying) to shred Oldman Pass / Falls Creek Trail in WA. I'm going there with a couple of my buddies.
About the trail: http://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-states-trails/trails-washington/trail/falls-creek-old-man-pass/prd_173806_4586crx.aspx
This is a shuttle ride. (Meaning, we will park a car(s) @ the bottom, pool all bikes to car #2 and drive up to the starting point. And ride our a$$es down. Drink a beer or two. Pick the 1st car we left behind to fetch the other car @ the top). End of ride, all of us go back home happy, tired, dirty, thanking we survived w/out any major injury to the bike or us and hating the day that will follow - which is Monday. Aargh.
This is a technical trail meaning there will be exposed sections of singletrack down a cliff. You can walk these sections (I do). Otherwise its a pretty sweet trail for an intermediate rider. And there is snow on the ground.
Round trip could be around 13 to 20 miles.
Car pool: Yes (Location TBD)
Starting time of ride: I guess 11AM but unsure about the location.
Any Qs, please post it in the conversation below. Else PM from this site. Hope to see at least one of you.
Caution: As I said earlier, I'm hitching this ride with a couple of friends. If their plans change, then this ride is off.
