The Tuesday Hill Slayer

A dose of hardcore bikey rejuvenation: a varying route through bicycle heaven of 25-30+ miles, and 2500+ feet of climbing.  Hardcore is more about attitude than conditioning. Even if you're kind of a slow climber, come on out.  The route will always be hard, but we'll be nice, and if you keep at it, you'll get better.

This week's route: To be determined.

****************************************************

Ride leader: Paul Johnston [masked][masked]

Date and Time of Ride: Tuesdays at 6:00 pm

Meeting Point: Helvetia Tavern.

****************************************************

This Week's Route: TBD

Route Stats: TBD

Pace and terrain rating. Maniacal, yet friendly.

Type of ride: This is a very strong intermediate to expert level training ride. We will regroup at hilltops and major turns. If you are concerned about your ability to keep up, feel free to give it a shot, but be a good sport and be prepared to make your own way back if the pace or difficulty are too much.

Weather Cancellation Policy. Only extreme weather will cancel this ride. ****************************************************

Mandatory for all riders.

Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request. Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Represent us well!

Have their ride in good working order and bring a flat kit & the right size spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out.

Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride, we will help if we can!

It was good- not too hot. We did have a short patch of rain, nothing too crazy, and we didn't do an extensively long ride, but fun.

    Alright, who's actually going..?

Sounds like Vest is out there, I'm already packed up to go, so I might as well see if we can get some miles in- even tho Vest'll dust me on just about anything...

I don't want to drive out there and then just turn around, so I'm bailing on this ride. I'm going to just keep an eye on things and then ride from home when/if it looks OK. You all can gather out there and ride, or not, as you wish. Watch out for lightning!

Thunderstorms will cancel this ride and it looks pretty iffy at the moment. Stay tuned.

No rain out here. Very hazy and low clouds. Roads are dry.

Radar loop looks has rain on Skyline. Out my 4th floor window to the west looks like rain. directly outside is dry. I am going to watch & if it is raining, I will not ride tonight.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
