I used to post Senior Momentum rides which are a little slower, a little easier and posted for us seniors who like things a tad mellower. But sometimes there were younger folks who thought "but that ride is for the old geezers" and hesitated to sign up.
Thus the new nomenclature: Slo-Spokes (as ins Slow pokes?).
Thursday I'm doing one of the nicest easy rides I can think of. It's in Hillsboro farm country. It is 25 miles and is about as flat as you can make it without riding on an asphalt quarter mile track.
I plan to ride 10 to 15 mph and average around 11 mph for the entire ride. I'll be having lunch at McMenamins afterwards for those who wish to join me.
Fast riders can come along too, but if you get ahead of me and we turn you should plan to be on your own.
Bring helmets, some cash or a credit card, a spare tube that fits your bike, something to blow it up with (at least a threaded CO2 cartridge--I have the pump) and a sense of humor.
Ride leader phone: 5zero3 2six0 0nine41.
Meet and greet 8:30. We roll at 8:45 so get there a little early or you might be left behind.
