The Thursday Evening Ride

Details

Winter is over. The days are longer. No excuse to not get a few quick hills in after work. Even though there is more light, we're still going to be finishing at dusk or later, so lights continue to be obligatory.

We'll take the bike path along Hwy 26 up to Sylvan, do a lap or two on the Fairmount "race track", and take in the view from the top of Council Crest. There will be hills, and depending on who shows up, we may add in some more climbing. Intermediate riders, and those wanting to improve their climbing skills are welcome.

The basic route is posted below, with two laps of Fairmount. It's possible that we will add climbing miles by dropping down to the Rose Garden and climbing up to the Zoo...who knows, there are lots of quiet streets that are just fine to ride in the dark. Depending on the group and ultimate route,we might drop one lap of Fairmount.

The route is very low traffic and a lot of it is bike path.

There are no restroom facilities at the starting point.
