I was putting in 3000 to 5000 miles a year mostly by myself. When I started riding with others, I learned a ton, became a much better rider and made some of my best friends ever.

How often do you ride? How long do you ride? At what speed do you ride?

3-4 times a week, as fast as necessary or possible, whichever comes first.

What has been the longest ride you have been on recently?

Centuries now and then.

Which type of rides will you prefer? Short (easy 10-20 mile) casual? Intermediate (12 mph or so, 35 mile plus)? Women only? Challenging (40 mile plus with hills, 16 mph)? A mix or other (please specify)

I like 'em all, but usually it's 25-40 miles. I have a sick appetite for hills. To be honest, I have a hard time riding slow unless I've already gotten my ya-yas out.

What areas would you like ride ?

Uphill. Everywhere. I don't much like riding through town. Dangerous and not so much fun.


Longtime rider, Realtor since 1988 and generally nuts about riding bikes. As Organizer, I believe in spreading the Bikey Goodness, and getting more Butts on Bikes!
