I joined to prepare for a bike trip in Croatia.

How often do you ride? How long do you ride? At what speed do you ride?

I ride 2-4 times/week. I prefer rides between 20 and 30 miles. I am slow (13-16 mph, much slower on hills).

What has been the longest ride you have been on recently?

50 miles

Which type of rides will you prefer? Short (easy 10-20 mile) casual? Intermediate (12 mph or so, 35 mile plus)? Women only? Challenging (40 mile plus with hills, 16 mph)? A mix or other (please specify)

Would like to be a year round rider. I prefer casual social rides. My goal for 2012 is to improve on hills and to comfortably ride intermediate rides.

What areas would you like ride ?

Anywhere within 20 minutes of downtown Portland. I'm happy to do occasional rides further away.

Introduction

I started biking in the spring of 2011 after moving to Portland from SE Alaska. I hadn't been on a bike for 35 years. It's been an adventure for sure!
