Longer rides with a group. Make friends who are active and into fitness. Have fun! Push the envelope.
2 to 3 times a week. At least 50 miles a week. I can hold 15 mph on the flats, kicked it to 23 when a car was a bit close last week :)
right now 20 . I need to build up. I could do a longer ride on the weekend. Intermediate is great.
Portland - Vancouver I have been down to Salem to ride with a friend also. Ankeny Wildlife Preserve is a nice place to ride.
I started riding in Honolulu in the late 80's. I moved to the Portland area in 92 and started riding again around 2008. Again learning that you have to un clip when stopping :). I have done a maximum distance ride of 48 miles, last year.
A fun group. Good people, good rides, fun socializing after the rides.
