RoRo Sydney Meetup

Our monthly RoRo Sydney Meetup is on for June!

Everyone is welcome, if you are brand new to Ruby on Rails, now is your chance to come along and talk to some of the best in the industry about our amazing web application framework and see how you could get involved.

If you are a Ruby on Rails veteren, we hope to see you there at your monthly meeting of peers!

We always have interesting talks, not always about Ruby on Rails, but always informative and usually entertaining :)

We'd also like to hear your talk!  There are two formats, a talk of up to 15 minutes, and a lightening talk of less than 5 minutes.  To register your interest of delivering either, please update the RoRo Sydney Github Wiki

Having it on the top floor of a pub means we get a private room, private bar and don't have to walk any where afterwards to socialise!

Big thanks to Steven and the guys that spent time putting their presentations together. It was a really good night.

Note to the guys who think it's acceptable to talk while someone is giving a presentation - it's NOT OK! Shut up while people are presenting. It distracts the presenter, the audience and it's rude.

    See you next time.

As I mentioned in my talk, is now live and taking contributions. If you think something should be documented, then create an issue. If you want to contribute, then fork the repo (which should have a skeleton in it by the end of today), add a page and make a pull request.

Also, don't forget: Ninefold's new servers on demand offering is out in the wild. If you sign up before 5pm Friday and email, tweet or ping me in some other way, you'll get $50 off your second month (the first one is free!).

Great! I'm brand new to rails. Everyone was friendly. The talks were hard to follow as a non-rails dev, but I'll go to one of the upcoming InstallFest events which should be better suited to me.
