Are you a developer/engineer, or do you aspire to become one?

I aspire to make a career in code development. To be paid for what I love to do in my free time would be a dream come true!

Do you have any interest in leading or presenting at a future meetup?

At the moment, I am interested in getting comfortable with the group, meeting everyone first.

How much experience do you have with Ruby or Ruby-on-Rails?

I started reading Michael Hartl's Ruby on Rails tutorial about a month ago and also started Mattan Griffel's OneMonthRails set of video tutorials. So far, I have built a Pinterest-like application via the tutorials and have begun applying what I have learned thus far to create a volunteer signup application for my current employer. I really enjoy Ruby so far and the structure that Rails provides for application development.

Introduction

A Montessori guide for young children (18-36mo. old), I am interested in turning my hobby programming passion (GNU/Linux System Adminstratin/shell scripting, Lisps, Ruby) into a new career.
