The first Rocky Mountain Ruby Motion meetup. We'll discuss an overview of Ruby Motion and review some of the best frameworks and tools currently available.
Colin Thomas-Arnold Gray will be speaking. Colin has written a system of helpers that is now the most downloaded gem for RubyMotion and also helped write a CSS-like DSL to help with view layouts and styling. Follow Colin on Twitter at @colinta
We'll also brainstorm future topics for this meetup.
Build fully-native iOS apps with Ruby, in your favorite editor, without having to touch Xcode or Objective-C. All the benefits of Ruby, and fully-native on iOS.
The similarities between Ruby and Objective-C are enough that a former Apple employee named Laurent Sansonetti was able to make a compiler for Ruby that outputs native iOS machine code. It was announced in the spring of 2012 and has been in and out of hacker news since. We're intending to make Denver a hub for the Ruby Motion community.
