We have our Ruff trip to St Paul's Cathedral this Saturday 10th November at 2pm.
St Paul's Cathedral was founded in 604 AD, but destroyed in the great fire of London in 1666 and was then redesigned by Sir Christopher Wren. You can see more info here:
We're meeting at 2pm at the meeting point listed above, and we'll head to St Paul's together from there.
It's FREE ENTRY to the cathedral (this is normally £15). We can see the main cathedral and the crypt in the basement.
If we pay £5 (or £3 if you have valid student ID) then we can go up to see 3 viewing galleries. This takes 30-60 mins and up 500 steps. First is the whispering gallery, where if you whisper against the wall then people on the other side of the dome can hear you. The other 2 viewing areas are higher up and allow you to see across London and take photos.
We will also go to the roof of a shopping centre nearby which has a spectacular view of St Paul's.
After seeing St Paul's Cathedral we can go for some food & drinks.
See you this Saturday! :)
