Hike The Arun River Valley!

A nice long route down a river, with two pubs!

This is an amazing stretch along the banks of the river Arun winding through the legendary Arun valley, with magnificent views.

The valley of Arun has a unique habitat rich in wildlife and biodiversity. The valley features undisturbed wet grassland surrounded by woodlands. Some of the species who call Arun valley home are kingfishers, warblers, dragonflies, glow-worms, grass snakes, water shrews and water voles.

More beautiful scenery is very hard to find and natural environment can only be described as epic.

(The pubs are not bad either).

Meet Time 1: 11:00am

Meeting Point 1: London Victoria Overland station, At the bench inside the station next to the "Iron Duke" Pub. This is behind the information stand at the platform 2-7 end of the station. If you don't know Victoria well, it's a very big station, leave a spare 10 minutes to find the meeting point.

Good fun, very nice country walk across meadows, through woods and Arundel castle. Lots to see including some surprise owls! Catherine stayed very calm and relaxed despite National Rail's attempts to thwart the day by cancelling part of the train service! Look forward to another walk and meeting another group.

Hi, sorry for being slightly out of topic. Does anyone here go on a hike with young kids? I have a 2 years old and want to start taking him with me. I wonder what is the best backpack carrier to take on long hikes. I saw many of them online, most of them seem huge and heavy. So, I thought, would something like this be good? http://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/LittleLife-Ultralight-Convertible-S2-Child-Carrier-sku54250201.asp?gclid=CIS45vz567kCFRPItAod3VMAEQ

It is a convertable carrier, which can also be used as a normal rucksack. I thought it would be also more convenient for days out in city as well as on a hike in a country side than those more sophisticated carriers. I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

    Hi

Looking forward to meet you all.

I would prefer to come directly at Amberley station by car from south east London. Anyone interested to share let me know. Samir

Is anyone interested in sharing a car from central London instead of meeting at Victoria station?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
