I know a great big woodland clearing in the middle of Epping Forest. It's a great spot for a picnic! In order to make it a big one I have cordially invited GOA and Pash I'll be leading the walk and Micheals and bringing a frisbee. I
This is a picnic with a twist too, you have to walk for about two miles to get in there!!
Epping Forest is on the northeast fringes of London, the fantastic ancient woodland of stretches along a high gravel ridge for almost 20km into the Essex countryside.
Originally a royal hunting ground Epping Forest was opened to the public in 1878. At six thousand acres it is London’s largest open space, it’s sheer scale is amazing. The clearing is near some public toilets so we'll have facilities. Travel light though as we'll have a 2 mile walk in. Bring picnic food, drinks and outdoor games.
In order for you to all get out you'll need to follow me, so we will all leave together at 5.00pm after we've cleaned up all our mess. There is another pub we can pitch up at near to the station, just in case we need one last drink:)
