First day after was fine, but anyone else hurt today like me??! My muscles have got muscles now. I even broke out some air squats while out work, just standing in the hallway...

Not just you... my quads have been sore. Used the foam roller today which helped.

    WORKOUT RECAP

Despite the drizzling rain that never quite went away, we had a great workout!

Started with a 4-round event of 400m/50 air squats. Albert finished with the top time of 15:12. (Great job, Albert, keeping your cardio up through the winter months!). Jess also did great finishing with the top female time of 16:32.

In the plank, Steve broke Mike K’s former record of 6:01 by 8 seconds. The new record is 6:09. Then, Tara set a new female group record with a time of 4:10. I personally feel that the plank is one of the most mentally challenging events, and Steve and Tara put forth determination tonight—breaking through the mental barrier to realize their potential. I was inspired! Camara and Jess also did great on the plank both holding for over 3 minutes.

We were joined by two middle-schoolers, Ethan and Jaquan, in the jump rope event and our “cool down” final event that involved jogging 400’s followed by push-ups. It was cool!

    Great job everyone!

Can't make it this week, but it gives me more time to train sprints.

Anyone have a recommendation for a casual restaurant/bar that we could go to afterwards? Last week, a few of us went to Porch and it was fun, but it would be nice to try some other places.

Those all sound like good ideas. I've been to Hello Bistro for lunch... great spot with healthy options and plentiful seating. Hopefully we'll escape the rain tomorrow.

I s this a rain or shine event? I'm coming in from Greensburg and would like to save the trip if we're getting rained out.

Yes, rain or shine unless there is thunder and lightning.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
