Since the first one in June was so much FUN with over 100 participants, we are doing it again!
This event is open to those that would like to just SLACK and soak up the sunrays, drink brews, and socialize with friends, but we also have scheduled activities!
You are welcome to bring your family and friends, arrive anytime and have the option of joining in any of the scheduled group activities.
9:00 am: Open Water Swim to Pier 60 and back. Meet at Lifeguard Station 5 between Frenchys and The Palm Pavilion. I have Swim Coach Leo Briceno leading the swim.
10:00 am: Cycle the 3-Bridges which is about a 13 mile loop. Fat tire, beach cruiser, and road bikes are all welcome. Meet in the parking lot in front of Frenchys. Initial group picture and another atop the Memorial Causeway. I have experienced cyclists leading and I will bring up the rear to ensure everyone gets back.
11:00 am: Beach Walk or Run. A 1-mile and 5k distance will be posted.
Alvaro Buenrostro will be leading the runs.
Noon: Beach Volleyball in front of Frenchys. Why yes, I do have lines!
Many groups either went to Frenchy's Rockaway or the Palm Pavilion for brew & food, but we ended up dancing the night away the Palm back in June!
Frenchy's Beer of the Month is Sierra Nevada Summer Fest for $2.50 a bottle!
