The emphasis is on easy. This will be a leisurely jog around the Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke. This will be my first run since April 3rd, so it will be slow and we can decide to go either 2.1 or 3.5 miles (see below) when we get there.
The Ashley Reservoir is a very nice place for a run. Enter "250 Whitney Ave, Holyoke, Ma." into the search box at maps.google.com to see a map of the layout. There is a building (the Elks Club) with parking lots on either side. When you get there you will see a fire gate blocking the road just past the second lot, that is the entrance to the reservoir.
From the fire gate there is a short stretch of about .4 miles through the woods to the "four corners". After you get there you can do a 1.3 mile loop around the upper/Wright Pond, or a 2.7 mile loop around the lower/Ashley Pond. A large loop around both ponds is about 3.2 miles. And then .4 miles back to the parking lot.
The first/short stretch is a wide, dirt path with a small changes in elevation, but is easily manageable with a stroller (there are usually a few of them at the Thursday night races). The loops around the ponds are wide, very flat, mostly hard pack soil, some asphalt.
