  • Not sure if I posted here already.....Will be conducting a study looking at whether or not barefoot runners have better balance when compared to shod runners. Pretty cool stuff. If interested in participation, it is pretty easy. We could set a day convenient to you and have you come to Texas State University in san marcos and spend about a hour or so with us doing some light paperwork and then testing your balance. You will get a small gift card to help out with the travel and get to find out if BF running helps balance.
Will probably be in Jan or Feb. You need to be running around at least 9 miles per week in a barefoot condition (can vary a little). With no major Lower extremity injuries in the last year. We are talking barefoot, no footwear. You can run in shoes too, as long as you have been running at least that amount barefoot too.
If you have any questions. Let me know. Really need some BF runners! I think it can be a good thing to know the information the testing will produce.

Thanks for you time. If I posted this already, I apologize. Shoot me an email if you have any interest.

We have now opened up testing to those of you who train at least 9 miles a week with VFF or VFF type shoes(with toes and no cushion, zero drop) if we can get more than 10 of you together we can make a trip to the SA area to test. Dont forget if you participate you can make appnt to get a free isokinetic test to look at ham quad ratios

Also if you participate we could do some isokinetic testing and look at ham/quad ratios. Just for your knowledge and we can give you a printout. this is nothing to do with the study, but something you can use to find out if you have and ham/quad imbalances going on.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
