Tour a Two-Acre Homestead with Permaculture Features

Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by sustainable agriculture including Permaculture, home preservation of foodstuffs, renewable energy, and back-to-the-land sustainable living.

We will tour a two-acre homestead in Royce City, outside of Rockwall. During this tour we will view or see demonstrations of canning hardware, electric dehydrator, oat roller, corn sheller, corn grinder, cane press, and horse drawn seed planter. Many Permaculture methods have been put into practice in the garden such as salvaged and repurposed materials, fruit trees, permanent rows, worm composting, and bee hive.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
