Come and share a pot of tea!
Saatea Lounge is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the moment together. We will start the meetup in the Asian-themed tea lounge (enter the door next to the volcano, facing Flores St). The drawing for the DOOR PRIZE will take place at 7:00 pm.
A spectrum of quality loose-leaf teas are available, including black, white, herbal, blooming, pu-erh and kambucha in addition to the green and oolong we've come to expect in Asian establishments. The teapots are brought to the table, prepared and served by folks who know and care about tea. Tea may be shared from the pot, so more than one type of tea can be sampled. Appetizers and desserts are served in the lounge.
By 8:00 pm, the group will probably have moved into the adjoining Pho Sure Vietnamese Restaurant, and on to the dinner menu.
FOOD: The pho (noodle) dishes (the hallmark of Vietnamese cuisine) are excellently seasoned. The French influence is evident in the crepes & the pastry. Fresh organic produce from the on-site community garden is used in the dishes. The menu includes vegetarian selections. If you have a specific question, please call the restaurant at[masked]-8473.
LOCATION: Saatea (formerly Big Kahuna) is across from San Pedro Park, at the intersection of W Ashby & N Flores. The tea lounge door faces Flores, while the restaurant door faces Ashby. Parking is mainly on the street.
RSVP'S CLOSE May 27 at 11:00 PM. Please RSVP before then so I'll have a good count for the table reservations. Thank you.
