This is the third meditation meet-up for this series of 6. (3/6) JOIN ANY TIME
This meetup will be a practice of actual guided meditations by the host, Leanne, with a section on the benefits of journaling. We will experience 2 - 3 types of guided meditations for goals and affirmations, health and wellness and other popular reasons why we meditate.
There will also be an open time to share on what you've done to set up your sacred space for meditation... A variety of photos and samples of things to bring into your sacred space will be discussed... Please feel free to bring any of your favorite additions.
Our meetings are designed to bring comfort and confidence to the practice of meditation. Co-ordinator, Leanne Barker, is a Chopra Center Certified Instructor in the practice of Primordial Sound Meditation, and has been practicing forms of meditiaton for over 20 years.
Each meet-up will offer a deep exploration of what meditation can offer, delving into the science and psychology behind the effects of practicing meditation and, of course, opportunities to become familiar with a variety of meditative practices. Powerful group meditations are included at each meet-up.
New members will recieve a CD, workbook (from the Chopra Center) and the option to invest in the research to find the individual's primordial sound mantra~ used in the most popular form of meditaiton in this group.
There is a $40 fee at the first session of this series of 6... this fee covers the materials required to follow along, and is not imposed again on following sessions for this series. The series is estimated to continue every 2 weeks until late spring, if members are interested in continuing along this path. If there is interest in continuing past this estimated date, the opportunity is certainly available at no additional fee.
Following meet-ups will include:
Meditate Anywhere: exploring the secret practice of meditation and mantras
Meditation "Tools": understanding the use of meditation beads, mandalas, bowls, balls and other "tools" of meditation practices.
Sacred Spaces: creating your own physical or mental sacred space... and the benefits of it.
Journaling: how to use journals during deep meditations that inspire you, and what to do with the messages.
Laws of Attraction: wouldn't this seem incomplete without recognizing it's full potential here?
