Brackenridge Park History Hike (Dog Friendly)

  • Mar 9, 2014 · 8:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Difficulty: Moderate. This will be a 4 mile walk over mostly paved paths. It should last about 3-3.5 hours. Bring water, comfortable shoes, hat, and sunscreen.

The Alamo Sierra Club invites you to join us. We will crisscross Brackenridge Park enjoying the natural beauty and revisiting some of the 11,000 years of human history—archaeology, art, architecture. Those who wish can have a snack or lunch afterwards with us at the newly restored Jingu Teahouse at the Japanese Gardens. This is a dog friendly hike and outdoor patio restaurant (dogs must well socialized and on a leash). $3 donations encouraged.

Note: This is also listed on the Alamo Sierra Club Meetup so the RSVP may close before the 20 person limit is reached on this site.

The hike will go on, even if it rains, unless there is lightening or it gets really heavy. Bring your raincoats and umbrellas.
