Monthly Meeting

A Discussion of Several Factors in Computer Room Design

Following a chat with a member, I've decided to dust off and update a presentation from the 2003 conference. Some of you may recall that I have a background that includes working for the SECV (electricity supply authority), so I have power fairly well covered.

I was responsible for the setup of several computer rooms over the years. I'll be sharing some of the things that went well and things that I would do differently, if I had the chance to do it again.

I'll be talking about alternatives for managing:

1) Power

2) Cooling

3) Cable management

4) Security
