Introduction
I'm Ash "Scruffy" Chancellor, the man who will become the world's greatest video game designer and change the world, y'know! Allons-y!
Why are you interested in joining SAGE?
I am an aspiring lead game designer with very large ambitions, and I am currently enrolled in a career-focused class, ISM (Independent Study Mentorship). A large part of the course is interviewing for your career field, and I saw this webpage searching for game designers and programmers, etc. in the San Antonio area. I figured I could interview those more experienced than myself in game development, as well as meet with people like me.
Do you have any previous experience developing games?
I have worked with GUI programs such as Game Maker, and am experienced in Java and learning C++. I am nearly always designing games in my head, as well. Beyond that, I am lacking in experience, but am aiming to gain more very soon.
What is your favorite genre of games?
I love most action-adventure games like The Legend of Zelda (my favorite game series) and Metroid. I am also a fairly hardcore RPG fan, and I would consider open-world games, such as Minecraft and Skyrim, another favorite genre.
What skills do you wish to learn with SAGE?
I am hoping to learn more about game development in general, and I would like to gain more experience in programming, graphic design, audio design, storyboarding, etc. Primarily, I'm looking forward to meeting up with fellow game developers, and sharing my experiences for feedback and support.
