Fast, fun and well organized race. Would have expected nothing less from the SARR! Thanks for encouraging me and others to start 2014 off on a healthy foot! Looking forward to another great race lineup!

Perfect way to start the new year! It's my plan to do more of these runs with the group.

It was good to see such a big turnout and to start the year off with a nice run. Was it me, or was that 5K course moderately difficult lol

I'm getting excited to see everyone at the FIRST RUN OF THE NEW YEAR!!
No matter if you have to get up from a warm bed on New Year's morning or are just coming for a short run on your way home from New Year's Eve partying, we want to see you there!!
Remember, this run benefits our runners scholarship fund, so come on out to support this great program.

Jim I was thinking of doing the endurathon next month. How is the course? I got a half this weekend so hope my Achilles lasts through that.

The Endurathon course is fun but hilly. The hills are no worse than what we did the last two Sundays running from Valero, but there are just more of them the whole 13.1 miles. Don't expect a great race pace, but you'll smile the whole time.

What's the race day registration process? I forgot to register :o(

    • Mary Ann F.

You can register there the same morning. But get there early. Popular run.

How much is it for SARR members?

    December 29, 2013

    • Jim M.

Other SARR races offer a generous member discount, but since this Cobweb Chaser race benefits our high school to college runner scholarship fund, the entry fee is $10.00 for both members and non-members. You can't beat the price for a 5K race, 1st place winner prizes, door prizes and refreshments by The Black Eyed Pea. Commemorative shirts available for only $10.00 more. See you there!

Do you know if this is a stroller friendly course?

    December 28, 2013

    • Jim M.

Baby strollers are not allowed on the course. The trails are narrow and the ground can be uneven at times, making stollers a possible hazard to the runner pushing it or others nearby. Thanks for asking.

      1 · December 28, 2013

  • Mary Ann F.

This is from the registration form:
I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in
    the race.
Might be a bit hard to maneuver a stroller with so many people.
