An Evening in Napa: Screening of "Bottle Shock" and wine tasting

  • March 16, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • Casa de Jon

"Bottle Shock" is a funny look at the true story of how Napa Valley broke through as a legitimate wine producing region back in the early 1970's.

We'll screen the movie while enjoying a variety of Napa Valley wines, snacks and desserts.

The evening will begin at 7:30, with a (Very) Happy Hour wine tasting.  The movie begins at 8:30 (although the wine tasting continues throughout!).

Come and meet some great people, enjoy some great wine, see a funny movie and learn exactly what it was that gave Napa its street cred among wine snobs (Hint: It's all about Chateau Montelena Chardonnay...and you may even come across a bottle of it at this meet-up!)

Please bring a Napa Valley wine along with a snack or dessert to share.

Sorry but I have the flu and am not sure I will be 100% tomorrow, I'd rather open a spot for someone on the waitlist. Cheers!!

Should we plan to bring our own serving tools or will plates, utensils, cups be provided? This will determine if my dish should be finger friendly...LOL ;)

I'm going to try and impress with a swiss chard, mushroom, & chorizo frittata. Ole! It is suppose to be good with chardonnay.
