Lost in Translation: Bringing the SQL you know into Mongo

We're serving up a great speaker, hot dog bar, drinks and snacks!

7:00 pm, Chill out and network
7:30 pm, MongoDB presentation by 10gen

ON THE TOPIC: One of MongoDB's key features is its document-oriented model; a stark departure from table-based data models that lack the flexibility needed for real-time web applications. MongoDB's "schemaless" model offers a wide opportunity to optimize development and performance of your product. In this session we will go through how to convert your SQL data models into MongoDB Documents and a general lesson into how to think about schema in MongoDB.

ON THE SPEAKER: Kevin Hanson, Solutions Architect at 10gen. No stranger to document oriented databases, Kevin brings expertise in the database and search engine fields. He's a big sports fan, and when he’s not making rounds talking about all things mongo, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, boating, and playing with the latest and greatest gadgets.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
