Sight seeing and lunch in Augusta.  Lots of places to eat in that area.

The Savannah River and Augusta, Ga., were the destination for a Sept. 14 ride from Lexington, S.C., that included touring on secondary roads to the river, which forms the border between Georgia and South Carolina, and a high-speed return home on Interstate 20. The outbound ride traversed U.S. 1 and state routes 23 to Modoc, S.C., on the Savannah River, the Savannah River National Scenic Highway, a stop at the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area Park in Augusta, Ga., lunch at an S&S Cafeteria in Augusta, Ga., and a stop at the Phinizy Swamp Swamp in Augusta, Ga. A little after 3 p.m., the group returned to the Columbia area on Interstate 20 in a cooling 45-minute run that provided relief from mid-afternoon heat and got them home in time to catch their favorite college football team in televised gridiron action. Sorry if spoiled everyone's day about the gas, but we all mess up from time to time. My memory is very short sometimes. I promise to do better.

you did not mess up, Jimmy. We all had a great time and arrived home exhausted, which means a great ride. Loved it and plan to go back and ride the river

Two events in one day. The channels on the river, a boardwalk at the swamp, and lunch at S&S downtown. Should not take to long to get there and back. Ride through Aiken on way back.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
