Run/Walk/Stroll Around Centennial Lake

WEATHER UPDATE:  The forecast is calling for wind, the radar indicates heavy rain at 6.  So, if you want to chance it, meet us at the park at 6 and we will walk/run our worries away.   This message is for March 12 ONLY.

REALLY NO NEED TO RSVP - THERE WILL BE NO HEAD COUNT. JUST MEET US THERE!  WE GET STARTED RIGHT AT SIX.  QUESTIONS?  MESSAGE GINGER THROUGH HER PROFILE TO GET HER CELL PHONE NUMBER.

We like to run around the lake but welcome slower paces as well.  In the past, we have just had 1 or more groups head out at their own pace.  Runners will double back and meet the walkers when they complete the circuit.  The trail is about 2.4 miles and very scenic.  We are excited to have you join us!

We will be stepping off AT SIX unless we hear from you to give you a couple of minutes. Traffic around the park can be heavy at that time of day due to rush hour and parents dragging, I mean engaging  their kids in sports.  Please plan accordingly.

This meetup will be repeated every Wednesday until November!

Weather:

If the forecast calls for storms, we will make a determination and post the status for this event no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  The weather can be last minute in taking a turn for the worst.   Be advised that we may have to cancel upon arrival.  All we can say about a last minute cancellation due to the weather is God is good all the time and no one will be more bummed than Jan and Ginger!

We are  a couple of pretty hardy chicks, but not foolish.  We don't shy away from wet paths or drizzle but will not go if we can't see across the lake for the rain or if there is lightning.  There is a lot of weather in between drizzle and a gully-washer type thunderstorm.  Please use your best judgement about what you can handle weather-wise.

I know it will be a few weeks before this happens, but we will still go when it is hot, Hot, HOT!  Runners have been known to walk on those days where there's a heat advisory.  Be sure to hydrate yourself.  Nothing fancy required - just good old-fashioned water.

This parking lot is big.  We park toward the back of the lot on the right near the pavillion, baseball field and restrooms .  If this doesn't make sense, message me (Ginger).
For your safety, please lock your valuables out of site.

Great I have you run her around the lake. She pulled me the whole way around the lake and if I run she runs faster!
