SCV Arthritis & Autoimmune Disease Support Group Mtg.- OUR Group Mtg.!!

Join us at our monthly Peer Support Group meeting where our goal is simply to make sure our members leave each meeting feeling better than when they arrived.

Each month a plethora of information will be provided and you will be surrounded by a support system of individuals who actually understand what you are going through because they are going through it as well. You will have the opportunity to share your experiences with a group of your peers and will be able to learn from everyone else's experiences too. At each meeting you will find yourself in a safe and confidential environment where you can vent, cry, smile, laugh and make some new friends in the process.

Our group meetings will always fall on the 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

    Thank you Sheryl. I just ordered Fasting & Eating for Health by Dr. Furhman after reading your post and checking out the links. I have experienced positive results from following a strict plant based diet. I cut out gluten, dairy, and processed sugar 6 months ago and meat 3 months ago. My fatigue and joint pain have improved as a result. I couldn't make a fist in either hand, move my wrists or toes without having a very painful burning feeling. Now I am pain free. Those areas are still tender but the frustrating daily pain is gone. I still get very fatigued but now I get the absolutely spent burnt out feeling between 9pm- 10pm instead of between 5:30pm-6:30pm.

    I enjoyed meeting all of you and listening to your stories. There was discussion today about the usefulness of dietary changes. Here are two physicians that have done a great deal of work in the area of treating chronic disease with diet modifications.
    I do know of people who have had success with the McDougall program as one of my mentors from residency recommends it highly.
