SCV Arthritis & Autoimmune Disease Support Group Mtg.- OUR Group Mtg.!!

MONTHLY TOPIC:
"SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS"

Join us at our monthly Peer Support Group meeting where our goal is simply to make sure our members leave each meeting feeling better than when they arrived.

Each month a plethora of information will be provided and you will be surrounded by a support system of individuals who actually understand what you are going through because they are going through it as well. You will have the opportunity to share your experiences with a group of your peers and will be able to learn from everyone else's experiences too. At each meeting you will find yourself in a safe and confidential environment where you can vent, cry, smile, laugh and make some new friends in the process.

Our group meetings will always fall on the 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

If you have any questions, please contact Jena (The organizer of this event) at [masked] or at (661) 312-8913.

Hope to see you there!!!

I just got back from the doctor and am still am wearing the darn brace. I kinda had a feeling it was going to happen. Anyway, two more weeks. The only good thing, and noone told me, is I dont have to wear it when I sleep. That will make the two weeks go be a little quicker? All of you have a good Thanksgiving and enjoy your meeting. Cindy

    Hi,
I will try to make it. For anyone who is interested, here are a couple of links to websites on diet and autoimmune disease. The information may not apply to all but some of you may find it interesting. For the McDougall site, type the disease you are interested in into the search engine: http://www.drmcdougall.com/goog...
This second link should take you directly into the autoimmune section of Dr. Joel Fuhrman's website: http://www.drfuhrman.com/succes...
Scroll through the stories on Dr. Fuhrman's site and you will see that while significant weight loss was an important factor for some, dietary changes also worked for those who did not have weight as a component factor in their illness.
