Are you working on an article, book, screenplay, book review, blog, novel, etc. either in your spare time or as part of your job? Are you taking a break at this very moment from a looming deadline? Or, do you find yourself not completing a writing project because there isn't a deadline? Are you trying to journal but don't know how to inspire yourself? Do you get lonely with only your muse for company?
I invite you to join the St. Cloud Writers Salon. We have two groups that meet monthly:
~ On the second Monday of the month is the Prompt and Critique group, during which participants write a short original work centered around a different prompt each month. This group also critiques short submissions and uses the remainder of the meeting to schmooze with other writers in our area.
~ On the fourth Monday of the month is the Critique Group. Here is where you can submit longer works for critique and receive valuable and insightful feedback. Whatever time is left after critiques, of course, is more schmoozing.
What we offer area writers is the opportunity to get encouragement in your writing endeavors. We discuss writer's block, procrastination and the difficulties in finding time to write. Whether you're new to writing or a published author, this is a place you can share your successes, bewail obstacles and get encouragement from like-minded individuals.
