PRIVATE EVENT, MEMBERS ONLY: Space is limited, please update your RSVP if you cannot make it so waitlisted members have a chance to attend
Our third bookclub will be Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. This book is credited with turning many health-minded people vegan, including our beloved member Callie and Miss Anna's parents! Those interested in health information should find this book informative and eye-opening.
THE BOOK: The Eat To Live is Dr. Fuhrman's revolutionary six-week plan. It explains how and why eating the wrong foods causes toxic hunger and the desire to over consume calories; whereas a diet of high micronutrient quality causes true hunger which decreases the sensations leading to food cravings and overeating behaviors. It instructs readers on how to leave behind the discomfort of toxic hunger, cravings, and addictions to unhealthy foods.
You can find the book on Amazon:

• Kindle: http://amzn.to/1p7IW50
I'm not sure if any of the local libraries have it, please update us if you are able to locate it. Feel free to organize book sharing in the comments with each other!
THE FOOD: In the spirit of health, please bring a vegan dish to share that follows the tenants of Eat to Live, or is a recipe from the back of the book.
You can also go here for Eat to Live friendly recipes: https://www.drfuhrman.com/library/recipes.aspx
THE PLAN: We'll eat and socialize from 6:00-7:00pm and then we'll start the book discussion. The discussion typically lasts 60-90 minutes.
THE LOCATION: The beautiful, kind and super-smart Jennifer is graciously opening her home to us. Their complex is named "Treviso". When you enter on Rancho Fanita, take a right into the complex. Her number is[masked] if you get lost :)
PARKING: Jennifer says you can park anywhere in the complex that isn't marked with a number. She'll have parking passes for everyone that need to be put in your car before settling in for the event.
GOODREADS: For those interested, I started a GoodReads group for our bookclub. I'm hoping this is a resource for everyone, especially those who can't attend the live discussions. Feel free to make book recommendations in that group, as well as join in on or start any discussions in the forum.
