A Day of Solidarity for whites and others to support African liberation and reparations. Penny Hess, author of "Overturning the Culture of Violence", and chair of the African People's Solidarity Committee, will speak about how whites can join in solidarity with Africans for justice in regaining their land and resources. This will be a membership drive to gain new members to the San Diego Branch of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement and the African-led InPDUM (International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement). It will also be a fundraiser to provide material resources to the programs of the African People's Socialist Party. Everyone is welcome. Because this is a fundraisers, donations will be accepted but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Based on the strategy and campaigns of the African People’s Socialist Party, the Uhuru Solidarity Movement organizes in the white communities. We call on white people to unite with our true human interest in recognizing that the struggle of African people for liberation and justice has a relationship to the fact that our lifestyle rests on a pedestal of African oppression. APSC organizes forums, demonstrations, studies and events to educate other white people about the true history of this country, founded on slavery and genocide, and what we can do to support the struggle of African people.
