Summer Picnic: Meet/Greet at Pepper Grove in Balboa Park

A relaxing, fun Meet/Greet event in a nice location. The suggestions so far have been great. Bring a small summer potluck item such as fresh fruits, cool pasta salads, etc.

You can follow my progress on facebook:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Metamorph-Us-...

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the picnic this summer!

Wow Ellis, that looked really good; lots of sweet effort. We'll see you next time. I enjoyed meeting new people today and soaked in the fun picnic. Thanks Deanna.

Hey all, too bad I have missed you - not in the least because I woke up early to prep all the food (:)). Vince is still not home (going on 4:30PM by now) and he's going to have to deal with an unhappy wife all night ;). I decided to make a lot of pasta salad, which I cannot really eat myself as I usually will react to the pasta (either the egg or gluten in it). Guess his colleagues will be lucky as I have to make him take it for lunch, cannot throw all this (mostly organic) food! what a bumr :(

Thank you! All of the dishes from everyone sound delicious, yummy summer items. Don't worry Ellis, we'll wait for you :)
Sorry I haven't answered messages earlier, I just figured out the correct way to do so. DUH!

Hey all, Yay, don't have to work, but I'll be late as my husband needs the car till at least 2PM. But Keep Room For My Pasta Salad! As I'll bring one big bowl - good for at least 15 or so. I'll also bring wine (2 bottles) and French baquettes with herb/roasted garlic butter (I just roasted the bulbs) to go with. Garlic is so healthy ;); I could just eat buttered bread all day long, hmm, I may bring another salad but I'm not sure yet. I'll check what's been added to the list on Sunday morning.

Does anyone have plastic cups lying around at home that they can bring for the water and limeade?

Tabouli & wine & salad yums all sound wonderful =) We definitely have plenty of silverware items & napkins now. I'll bring the tableclothes because I plan to arrive quite a while before 1:00 so I can set up my piece. That way I can try to claim some tables for our groups :) I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone next Sunday!

Ok, great Janet. I'll bring plates, two bottles of Pinot Grigio and Tabouli Salad to serve about eight people. Mas Vino. ;-) Thank you.

Sounds great Charlie. Somewhere I posted that I'd bring the forks, spoons, knives, and napkins but I don't see it. Anyway, I already have gobs of plastic "silverware" - do you want me to bring that stuff, Charlie, and you do the plates and your wine and tabbouli? A little less for you to do, if you would like.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
