Culture + Cocktails!

The San Diego Museum of Art will transform once again into a hip night club, this time with a focus on Spain and the new exhibit "From El Greco to Dali." It's a great chance to see new exhibits, imbibe interesting cocktails, and try your hand at some art projects. We've had so much fun at past C+C events!

The party starts at 7 p.m. The Summer Salon Series at the museum begins at 5 p.m. You can attend both events, however only those with C&C tickets checking in at 7 p.m. will get drink tokens

Call or text Rachel when you arrive to find the group and join us in the fun! Texting is better because it gets loud in there. (Cell number will be sent upon RSVP closer to the date.)

Admission is free for SDMA members and $15 for nonmembers.

As usual - had a wonderful time with everybody and a chance to be introduced to some members I had not met before. What a great group of interesting people :) Happy to have found you guys. And then some. The event was super well attended: Lots to look at - both on display at the museum's walls and the eye candy walking around sipping hot peppered cocktails while viewing the artworks ;) Many people dressed up to the ninths (mmmm, don't know how to correctly use this saying). Fun night: Definitely am signing up for the next Culture and Cocktails!

What a high energy event ... a veritable artistic mosh pit ... got there early enough to check out the new art exhibit before the crowds arrived ..well worth it .. glad for the docent talks .. then it became a crazy club scene with happy insanity, wacky make-your-own eyewear, and plenty of fashionistas

OMGosh! There were so many people and I never did find our fearless leader or our group.. Wish we could do something like this without the hordes! It also shows that san diego is starved for similar classy events. My friend and I did make a couple of adorable Fascinators!! We then went to the Prado for dinner, around 8:45. Loved the idea, thought the reality was too crowded!! The DALI exhibit was cool.

Lots of creative fun with a great bunch. Because of the intensity of the venue we had to sprout out into smaller groups.

This was crazy madcap crowded fun. Finding folks from the MeetUp group proved to be next to impossible, so I hope everyone just got into the vibe of the thing and had fun.

Hi Rachel, I couldn't find you on the Steps at about 7:15...I was inside at 7 making my red and black Fascinator hat! OMG so many people, sorry our group didn't get to find one another. Maybe the next time will be less hectic and crowded!

Forgot to mention that I will be waiting on the steps in front of the museum's main entrance at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in the area to the west of the main entrance. I'm not sure where they'll be letting us in (it has varied in the past), but I'll be in front of the SDMA main entrance. See ya there!
