Happy July! I hope you're all having a fantastic summer so far. And a warm welcome to the new members of San Diego Creative Connection: Sparkie, Joseph, Jennifer, David, Mo, Laura, Janet, Jennie, DB, Jan, Cynthia (x3!), Juno, Beverly, Fran, Andy, Michelle, Deborah, LJ, June, Alice, Angela, Ted, Kiyoshi, Michelle, Shayla, Will, Ace, Liz, Dave, Kathleen, Lisa, Roberto, Martin, Jules, & Kimberly. Thanks for joining us!
What a fun time we had in June: Culture & Cocktails, a tour of the Salk, and an amazing performance of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" at the Old Globe (seriously, go check it out!). Here's what's coming up this month...
July SDCC Events:
- POP Thursday @ MOPA: 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12 Join MOPA for an evening of comic-crazed adventure as the Atrium comes to life with vixens, villains and superheroes! San Diego Creative Connection members get $2 off admission (regular $10) online or at the door (if in person, just mention you are with SD Creative Connection). Or get a discounted annual membership to MOPA for just $20. Click here for more info.
- Another Architectural Tour of the Salk Institute: 12 p.m. Friday, July 13 This event is full, but you may join the waiting list to see if a spot becomes available. If you signed up already and your plans have changed, please update your RSVP to give others who want to go a heads-up. Thanks!
- I'm working with Amy from the San Diego Museum of Art to plan an after-hours tour in late August or early September. This will be a fun, exclusive event for our group; I'll keep you posted!
- What do you all think about going to the San Diego Natural History Museum? It's a bit of a detour from our usual focus on art, but I received an email from someone at the museum recently and I think it could be fun. Also, in October they're presenting an exhibit on chocolate! That gets my vote. :)
Have a safe and wonderful Independence Day celebration, and I'll see you soon! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or ideas for events you'd like to see on the calendar.
