My Bulldog cough's up white mucus

I have a 6 month old Bulldog who throws up white mucus almost like marshmallow snot. I have had to pull it out of her mouth. She had a day where she threw it up all day. Now it will happen sometimes in the mornings before breakfast, she will cough up the snot and or after breakfast she will throw up her food and in the food is the clear and white mucus. The rest of the day she is fine. The La Jolla Vet. Hospital has done 2 sets of ex-rays and blood work to see why this happens. They can?t find any thing wrong with her. Any suggestions or recommendations for vets in the San Diego who specialize in Bulldogs?

My bully does the same thing (her whole life), this is caused by an elongated pallet. It is a common ailment in bulldogs. If you go to a vet that treats bulldogs like every other kind of dog, they won't know what's wrong. I don't know where you live but Dr. Butchko in Riverside is a bulldog specialist and he is the one who told me about the pallet causing the mucus and spit up. He does offer a corrective surgery for about $500. I haven't done it yet, but I am still considering it. It is a pain for us owners, but it is a normal problem for English Bulldogs smile
