I've been into folk music and folk music groups since the early 1940's, in Chicago, SF Bay Area, Topeka & Lawrence, Kansas, and Des Moines Iowa. An occasional SDFSS visitor since the 1980's, I've been a member since moving to San Diego in 1990.
While I can basically strum along on the guitar when others are playing and singing, I also usually have a bag of other accustical gadgets such as kazoos, train whistle, cow bell, castanets, tambourine, harmonicas, wooden spoons, tonette, ocarina, etc. When its my "turn," however, I prefer ballads and solo singing without instrumentation.
Sorry. I can't remember; probably another union or bawdy song.
Always the best. Recent venue changes are a vast improvement as far as accessability, although room sound quality still leaves less than ideal setting.
