New Year's Eve, Take 2/Farewell to Jonnie

It's a party, and this one is will be special x2.

Those of you who have been coming for a while have probably met and come to know Jonnie, our beloved British bloke here for the past three years on a Navy exchange. It's crazy how quickly the time has passed! He will soon head back across the pond, but not before we have a proper send off. So come out for a warm San Diego aloha to our friend.

AND you may recall that our New Year's Eve party was cancelled due to illness. :( So let's ring in the new year again... but on UK time!! We're going to party like it's 2013. Feel free to dress in the style of the time if you wish.

We will start the party at 2 PM and have the London-time midnight countdown just before 4 PM. Please bring a dish to share and BYOB. Don't forget your uke and songbook!

Dang, I'm at an all-weekend writer's conference here in SD that day. Starts at 2...how long will it be going? Over by 6 or 7? Into the night? Until the police come?

We will have the UK midnight countdown at 4, and then probably another countdown for the continental midnight at 5. Why not? Let's swallow 12 grapes for each midnight chime like the Spaniards. It may get crazy after that... :-D

I'll wrap up in Mission Valley about 5. Have my uke with me, so I may text you Alexis to see if it's still going on at that point.

Unfortunately I will be travelling this weekend and will miss the party.

    Jonnie,
It has truly been a treat to see you at the Tuesday meetups and activities. We will genuinely miss you when your gone. Even though you spell organize with an 's'. Your British influence is one of the reasons we like you so much. ;-) Best of luck to you in your travels,
    Blair

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
